As a matter of interest, as this is only coming out in the press now, how early would dealers have known about this? Will they only just have been told or will this have been internally briefed a while back?

Hi there

My first post.. so thought I'd make it an interesting one..

Last week I was about to order a new MCS as a company car, I just heard this news before I did tho so asked the lease company to clarify. This was the response from the Mini dealer on the 14/01/2010:

Quote:
Hi ,

MINI UK have not confirmed anything on a new lower CO2 engine, however we are expecting any day now the week 10 model year actions on MINI, whilst we are anticipating some changes to occur, we need to wait to see exactly what MINI UK have to say, we are checking the internal infonet daily, as soon as the bulleting is issued I will forward a copy onto you, should be any day now.

Many thanks,
So they did appear not to know.

I'm just finalising my order this week and my new MCS with the revised engine will be delivered the day my existing company car goes back - 13/5/2010 - damn that feels like a long way off!

Cheers
