Default URGENT - for site Admin - 6th February 2018, 03:12 PM

Hi all,

Just to let you know, I`ve spotted something weird when I log onto TM lately on my PC - It slows my PC down drastically, ie: mouse pointer sticking, typing not keeping up on screen etc...

What was more worrying was that my Virus-scanner, Bit-defender, keeps deleting a threat called "Bitcoin miner".

On doing some Internet digging, advice I have found is to check my PC`s CPU usage when on TM, and wow !......when I have TM loaded, it sends my CPU usage up to 99%, compared to under 10% whenever I close TM down.

Not sure if it`s my PC that has the problem, but it doesn`t happen with ANY other website up, ie Facebook, Pistonheads, and the F56 MINI forum - no others, JUST Total Mini.

I have done the usual scans for viruses, malware, ad-ware etc, and my PC is totally clean as far as they are all concerned.

Just thought you site-owners should know all of this - thanks.

Thanks for the heads up, I access it on my Mac in Safari mainly, but haven't had any issues using any other browsers in Windows either.

What Operating System and browser are you using?

I brought it to there attention on there Facebook group at Christmas/new year on my iPhone using safari that my sky shield kept blocking the site. Something temporarily on & off stoped it new year but still keep getting it on off.

Sorry mate, only just logged back on to find this:

I`m using Windows 10, and Google Chrome, and immediately I`ve come back onto the site, my computer mouse is already freezing - I`ve been on other sites all evening, and no problems.

Hope you get it sorted, this is a great forum, and thanks for providing it for our enjoyment, cheers

My iPad Pro running safari and Mac air running the the same will reload the page as it is taking “significant power” if I leave a tab open for a few minutes. There is definitely something up.... it’s only been happinging recently, and only on this site.

R60 Cooper S auto, Pure red, chilli, media and light packs..SOLD

F60 Cooper S All4 auto. Thunder grey with a lot of gloss black and very little chrome. Chilli, Media, Tech, XL, LED’s, pano roof, black 19’s, black leather, black stripes, black roof, black rails (I like black)....pretty much all options ticked - already regret the ones that are missing.

We’ve identified the issue and resolved it, so hopefully you shouldn’t have any further issues now

Thanks for that mate; certainly appears sorted for me, anyway - no more "bitcoin" miners trying to get in, and my CPU is now running at the proper speed again, with no more mouse-freezing and sticking issues.

Nice work !
