MINI - AROnline 'Car of the Decade'
For making the small car classless and cool again, the MINI takes AROnline's car of the decade for the 'noughties'...

It just makes me laugh: if MINI had 'killed off' a still trading Rover Mini I could understand bitterness, but it resurrected a dead car - where's the harm or foul in that?

There are also very few members on the AustinRover forum who like the classic Mini either, as they blame its success and lack of profitability over the years for the long term downfall of the company!
![]() Most of them are rather 'sad' and like Morris Marinas, Allegros, Maxi's and various other 'Rover' cars and of course hate the recent Top Gear send ups of 'classic' British Leyland cars like the Marina, Austin Princess and Ital.......... ![]() The guy who runs the AROnline site and writes/updates many of the car histories on there likes the MINI and has a more balanced view though. He has also added a few details and recent updates to the main MINI story that I suggested a while back.
