Default JCW Badges - 14th May 2015, 07:58 PM

Anyone know how easy it is to remove/replace the JCW badges (front and rear)? The paint is coming off mine, and I want to replace them. Also considering leaving them off.

I have removed a few badges and I used dental floss gently pull under badge as close to paint as possible and put small amount of heat from either hair dryer or heat gun just use common sense , then glue and tar remover Auto Smart good, wear gloves and put it on micro fibre cloth, this to clean up residue make sure you wash down the area fully to get glue and tar remover off all plastic etc as May stain

Warranty ran out in Dec!

Is the front badge just stuck to the lower grill?

Correct. They are fixed by a push on type plastic nuts that simply locks itself into place. You need to get behind the lower grill to do it.

The red paint on my badges was peeling off and they were looking pretty gubby.
I cleaned them up and repainted them using a small paint brush and a small tin of paint that i bought from a local model shop.
Worked a treat and they now look brand new.

Cheers,
Dave
