So yesterday's antiics....

SupercarDriver ran their annual event at RAF Scampton with the Red Arrows which is how I got my entry, lots and lots of very expensive metal there and a couple of laps around the taxiway after they had had their fun and gone home.
The GP is awesome, an excellent set up all in all and the car is so adjustable and just grips and grips.
I had a guy in what I've found to be a 280bhp R26 Megane with full cage, harnesses and buckets along with a big turbo struggling to get past or make any moves on me! The GP is so quick to pick up out of chicanes although it was lighting up the inside wheel at most opportunities in full DSC off mode - GP Mode in those circumstances just slowed the car down on the whole so a proper diff is needed.
Great day out and I've also had a busy week fitting things!

Akrapovic DP went on after a few hours of cut knuckles and swearing
Here's a cold start video, will try and get some of the thunder out the back when warm but the gunshots it makes won't get old any time soon.
It definitely picks up quicker and revs freer past 6000rpm, a very worthwhile mod and I'm fairly sure it's noticeably more economical!

Black side scuttles went on in about 2 minutes which meant the chrome and grilles of the standard ones were gone - imo these look a bit cleaner on the car.

So here's some pictures from yesterday!

And one of mine and my brothers new car, Exige RGB 260 - this thing shifts, and whines way more than an R53!

Ohlins standard fit of 70N front and 50N rear, I think this matches the Bilstein rates so will see how it goes.

I'd swap them springs around if I were you.

Arrived back in the north for Christmas to be met with the pile of bits I've been ordering over the last few weeks!

New discs all round - the GP fronts were hard to come by, are bloody massive and weigh a ton!
Mintex 1144's all round
Ohlins R&T coilovers
ATE Typ200 brake fluid
Need to get some front top mounts as I think the current ones are knackered and contributing to the noises from the front!

Busy week ahead of me now but hopefully it'll all be worth it

Car looks great, I'm picking up a GP2 on Saturday. Quick question if I may, do GP's have the option to have the secret storage above the glovebox? Trying to make sure I get the correct brodit mount.

Cheers!

Thanks!

As far as I'm aware it wasn't offered from factory due to the leather dashboard restricting its movement to open so it's just the plain dash trim.

Saying that though, I think my mums JCW has it and hers has the leather/alcantara dash.

Someone did fit one that I know of so would assume it's possible with the assembly.

Enjoy the car!

I haven't polished this since March
Usually mix it up between auto finesse or dodo juice stuff, then keep on top of washing it and finishing Sonax BSD or autoglym aqua wax
