Default JCW drilled/grooved brake discs. - 29th July 2016, 12:00 PM

Hi Guy's,

Got a question for you.
The JCW drilled and grooved brake discs are listed as part number 34116855782.
Is it the same part number for the left AND right disc?
I can't find any other part numbers for these to fit a R56 2013 JCW Mini.
The reason I ask is, if it's the same part number, then the same disc fits both sides?
Cheers.

Yeah they aren't handed discs.

How much are they?

You'd be better off buying a pair from Nitrac.

http://www.nitrac.co.uk/eshop/index....5176_5191_5193

The price they show is per pair.

Add the option of DCT for 40 and they'll last a hell of a lot longer. They also do a black coating for 25 which will stop the unswept parts of the disc from looking all rusty an horrible.

Drilled discs are ok, but you'd be better off with just grooved. 8 groove is ideal for a road car. They provide them handed and even right on them what side they fit.

Hey Karl,
I got them fitted on my FJCW and when I collected the car I wondered if they had put two of the same side on by mistake!
Those discs & new pads fitted cost me 390, not cheap but as my car is still under warranty I didn't want to take any risks.
Got to admit though, they looks awesome!

I wonder will these fit on the GP2? I so want drilled and grooved discs - they would look the bomb.

I'm not sure, I think the GP2 has bigger discs.
They look awesome though!

Just checked with my local BMW / Mini dealer. They will do just the front discs NOT the back. How weird is that?

Well I'm booked in but would have preferred front and rear for the perfect look. Maybe I'm being too pendantic. Have you got any pictures of yours?

Not at the moment, if the sun comes out, I'll take a couple of pictures.
