Completely agree, I was mid bend this morning on a gentle drive to work when I went over a long crease In the road and it was like I got kicked 3ft over to the side, the ride is just so uncomfortable..

It wasn't down Ford Road or Ford Lane was it? I know you are local..... the bend coming from Arundel to Ford has a lump in it mid bend. I now know to hold on tight now but when I first took the bend I literally nearly crashed! Yes I was driving one handed... not exactly perfect technique but even my van goes around that bend untroubled..... its literally dangerous on the run flats if you don't scan the road surface for imperfections.... particularly when cornering.

New tyres fitted, the car is so much better without the runflats, I don't have to scan ahead to avoid any holes, creases, dips in the road. Ditch the runflats everyone.

The ride is so much more forgiving and softer.

Mine are on too.... so much better!

Out of interest, I had to visit 3 different tyre shops locally as 2 refused to fit "normal" tyres when my car is speced with run flats. "Insurance" reasons.

What a load of rubbish, they obviously didn't want the work.

The ride is so much improved and I can now hear wind noise in the cabin! Before all I could hear was road noise. These are so much quieter than the runflats. I did have a 2011 tyre on the rear which must have been one of the originals I guess, I thought I had a wheel bearing on the way out it was so noisy. All cured with the new tyres.

I have added a runflat to my original turbofans so I have a spare wheel and put a can or 2 of gunk in the boot with a foot pump should a puncture occur.

The guys at just tyres didn't care about them not being runflats!!

I also put a slightly wider tyre on with a lower profile.

My car also had a lot of tyre noise, very much like a whine like a wheel bearing but the tyre fitter showed me the rear tyres that had worn/feathered on the outside edges causing the noise.

Very pleased with the result anyway, remap next. 👍
