Default R56 JCW Service indicator/ vehicle check. - 11th August 2017, 10:34 AM

Morning fellas,

So, I've got the service indicator lit up on my R56 2013 JCW.
Now, on checking, I don't actually need a 'service', it says a vehicle check is needed.
Do Mini use this 'vehicle check' to find work, or is it actually useful for me, the owner??
Any others out there had experience with these so called vehicle checks?
The car has 19,000 miles on the clock and had an MOT in April, with no advisories and I change the oil every 5,000 miles.
Thanks,
Ade

I think the vehicle check is the MOT isn't it?

If it is showing a vehicle on the ramp it's a 'health check', under the TLC plan there is no charge to take it in for an inspection.

Just spoken to the dealer, apparently it's a FOC 'comprehensive' safety check.
I can see it now, 'yup, this one has four tyres, next'!

If you haven't got the time to pop into the dealers to reset it, lots of clips on YouTube to show you how to reset yourself.
