Default Wheel Spacers and R109 Alloys on fJCW's - 17th February 2014, 12:05 AM

Hi.

Now, I know that many moons ago, I found a thread (possibly started by Grieg) about fitting R109 allows over JCW brembo brakes. Alas, I cannot find said information so I am appealing for some help and guidance from you lovely folk.

In short I know I will need spacers to fit R109's to a fJCW, so:
  • How big do the spacers need to be? (the less the better IMO)
  • Will I need new bolts/locking nuts?
  • Any product recommendations/avoids?

Your collective wisdom will be much appreciated.

I just searched and found the thread you are after.

Fitting R56 JCW Brembo's to my R53

Op fitted 3mm but was worried about clearance so went for 5mm later.

I can recommend Mini Sport 5mm. Stock bolts should be fine on 5mm. (I use these)
