Default Discoloured external windscreen apron - 14th June 2017, 12:08 PM

My 2015 FJCW has just gone in to have some warranty items replaced, one of them being the external plastic window apron that sits below the wipers. This should be Black but mine has turned grey, when the car went in for its 1st service a number of replacement items were identified and a re-visit arranged after various parts were ordered.
I have just been informed that the window trim is not a warranty item? When I asked why there had been a change of mind and what caused the discolouration the dealer could not provide an answer.
Have any other Mini owners suffered from any discolouration of external plastic parts, in particular the windscreen apron?

Best to approach another dealer, your current dealer is awkward. This should all be covered by warranty, we never had any issues replacing plastic trims under warranty.

Sounds like he is being rather unhelpful.
The warranty should cover everything, incidentally, he should offer to replace it under warranty anyway as an example of good customer service!

The same happened to my brother's GP2 as the weather here is pretty severe... we've even seen trim simply melt off certain cars.
