Default Hesitation from idle - 8th January 2017, 09:28 PM

Brand new F57 with the 1500 engine (3 cyl turbo I think). Edit: It's an auto btw.
While researching before buying I noticed at least one review mention a tendency to hesitate when pulling away from idle, such as coming out of a side road. Mine does this (not sure exactly how often or what conditions as I've not done many miles yet.
I thought it was something that might have been sorted by now as reviews are usually on early cars, but it seems mine hasn't been.

Is this a known/common problem in the real world? I've searched this forum but not seen any reference to it.
If so, is there a simple fix? (eg. Software update)

I know I could throw it back at the stealer, but I'd rather do that knowing that they have a chance of improving it (otherwise it'll likely come back worse or with some new problems). (Yes, 45 years of car ownership and dealing with garages inspires a deep level of cynicism )
