Default Satnav doesn't know where it is - 22nd August 2017, 07:50 PM

The Satnav in my 2004 Cooper S convertible doesn't know where it is. It works and moves along and turns with the car, but the position is about 8 miles out.

I have been told that it's probably not receiving the GPS signal and it could be the GPS antennae. Does anybody know whereabouts this is on the car?

I've tried putting in another map disc. No different.

Extensive mods to my Hyper Blue Cooper S Convertible:
Magic Tree air freshener; Road map moved from back of driver's seat to glove box; FUN plates; SmartTOP roof control; Chrome mirrors; Chrome bonnet scoop; Chrome boot handle and hinges; Chrome spotlights; Chrome air vents; Chrome door buttons; Chrome number plate surrounds; Chrome instruments and switches; Chrome gear knob and handbrake grip; Chrome pen in glove box; Chrome dust caps on front wheels (not sure about the back wheels - don't want to overdo it)
to dechroming. Keep it Chrome and Classy

The GPS antenna is built into the base of your aerial, hope you get it sorted.
