Default Media Snap-in-adapter for Iphone 5 - 2nd August 2014, 07:26 PM

I need some help/advice

I have picked up a media snap-in-adapter for my Iphone 5s but it is missing some of the features I had in my old car with my Iphone 4a. This adapter does not allow me to play videos or allow me to use the Plug-in feature in mini connected.

When I went to a dealer to ask them for advice the assistant showed me the dealership manual showing that video is not supported by the armrest snap-in. He then said that this may be why the Ipod/Iphone feature of mini connected would not work.

This kinda made sense until I was mulling things over this morning... if it does not send out visuals from the armrest, how comes other features like Mini excitement, Minimalism and facebook work. Surely it must be sending out some visual signal. If it is why is Plug-in not working?

I have updated Mini connected, restarted my phone and even prayed

Has anyone managed to get things working as it should or should I give up?

Advice and help would really be appreciated.

Dre

Don't know if it's correct but I was told that the snap in didn't even do music streaming? Sounds like it's a "for phone call use only" kinda unit, which sucks tbh

Theres a media snap in, and a non media snap in one does music, the other doesn't.

The video and plugin issue is actually the lightning port, not the adapter as it isn't sent out of the lightning port the same way as the old dock connecter.
