Icon11 Tow Bar on New Clubbie - 15th February 2016, 08:42 PM

Hi

Has anyone been able to find out if a tow bar is possible on the new clubbie (Cooper model)

Tried to find out, but none of the places I ask seem to know

Thanks

Stuart

Well, Mini show one as an optional extra in their parts list, so it must be possible.

Default Tow Bar on New Clubbie - 15th February 2016, 09:23 PM

Yes but if you have it then it would disable the opening of the barn doors by waggling your feet underneath I was told. Didn't spec it on my new Clubbie arriving in 2 weeks.

Thanks for the replies

I haven't used the wiggle your feet under the doors option, too much of a faff !

I called up Mini Parts (In Northampton) and they said there wasn't a tow bar available.

Can you let me know where you found this? Which dealer (etc) so I can give them a call instead?

Thanks

Stuart

Stuart, click on the image above to transfer to the ETK parts list page for this towbar. This isn't an official BMW parts site but I don't think it is inventing OEM parts that don't exist! However, both the towbar and 'electrical retrofit' kit don't produce a price on one UK dealers online parts search, so maybe these parts are not yet available. You should ask your dealer's parts department as they should be able (and willing to bother) to find out the true position.

As far as I'm aware it's removable as advertised in brochure so only bob it on when you need it... I just bought the clubman this week and I read about everything LOL
