I've got some JCW side stripes for it, I think I'll put those on first, then see whether I need the stripe on the bonnet.

I'm loving it, in fact I'm a little surprised that I don't miss the F56 like I thought I would.

So, you have to get used to the barn doors and the view out of the back, but it doesn't take long. Like every Mini I've ever owned, if you reverse off the drive with the window open, any water on the roof runs in (surely they can sort that by now...). Fuel consumption isn't great, but compared to my F56 I expected that, what with it being heavier & an All4. And on a long journey I have noticed my hands aching on the wheel, but I think that's down to me not sorting out the best seating position.

It's deceivingly quick, feels more planted than any 3 door Mini I've ever had, and it sounds wonderful. It pops & crackles all the time in Sport. In it's current guise it's a bit of a sleeper, but the vinyls are going on today so it will look a bit more "JCW".

The space is wonderful, seriously I can hang my jacket up in the back, I can load my photography gear into the boot and all that....

All in all, I'm loving it...

Vinyls were a bloody disaster....

Went to pick the car up on Monday evening and they looked awful, they were more orange than red, didn't match the Chilli Red paintwork at all. I got the guy to take them off before I came home.

Anyhow, I've found another source who knows what I'm looking for, so I'm getting them done early next week in time for Brooklands the following weekend.

Let's hope they turn out OK.....
