Nice car...

I've not looked back since picking up mine.

As I didn't test drive it before ordering I had no preconceptions, but I had a f54 Mini Cooper previously to compare it against.

The engine and auto gearbox suit this car really well and is keener through the gears than the wife's 2 series coupe with the same engine/gearbox combination. Fuel consumption is not brilliant but mainly do small across town commutes, hoping it will increase when the engine gets more miles on it, currently doing around 27 mpg.

The space in the back seats is really good with great access and the boot space is a lot bigger than I thought with the split level floor. The ride is a lot firmer than the Cooper but sitting on 19inch alloys with run flats, it does feel more planted on the road though - probably the extra weight / centre of gravity.

My only small negative points at this stage are the rear of the car soon gets covered in crap and because I have the JCW Pack on I cannot fit mud flaps at the rear, I know they look wrong but do a decent job. The view out of the rear barn doors is restrictive especially reversing or changing lanes but you do adapt to it.

The car had its first wash last week and I only noticed then that it didn't have the plastic roof gulley on like the 3 doors, much better design imo. Also I need to buy a air dryer/blower as water collects in the fuel cap recess and behind where the rear door hinges into side of the body, took me ages to dry these out.

So 1 month in and really happy with it
