We totally understand the reasons behind runflats not ticking everyone's boxes but huge fans of runflats here One of our main reasons moving after twelve years with VW to the MINI brand were the reassurance of runflats after my wife's medic job moved from a short walk to the doors of the local hospital to a 40 miles round commute. With the commute to two major hospitals either taking her on a stretch of motorway with no hard shoulder or unlit winding country lanes, having runflats certainly gives us the reassurance that she will be able to reach home or the hospital safely in an event of a puncture which has already happened once with our previous Countryman. On cost, yes it is expensive but we have taken out MINI tyre insurance for peace of mind.

As we said earlier, appreciate the negative comments on the harshness of ride but after having four MINIs with this type of tyre we can tolerate the ride and the noise.
