Default LEDs - 14th November 2017, 06:21 PM

Hi guys, anyone tried H7 leds as replacements for halogens as the dipped beams?

Im used to xenons in my company car and Ive changed the main beams and fogs, but the dipped beam seem a bit yellow

Cheers

Not sure of the differences between the British version verses mine, but I did switch them out. I bought the version with the Can2 built in and only one problem. When I started the vehicle, the computer checked the electrical system as designed, and displayed burned out headlights. Other than that, worked perfectly. I replaced then with H7 that are Polar white for now until I get resistors and install to fool the computer. LEDs don't have enough resistance to meet the computers manufactures set perimeters.

I'm new to the Minis so I'm still learning. I understand there is a computer program out there that will allow the owners to shut off these warnings on the cars computer. If what I'm learning is right, it will run in a Windows computer, (hoping also for the Macs since that is what I have), and the cable from the laptop to the vehicle cost about $60 (US dollars) and can be bought on Amazon. Something to consider.
