Default HK radio silence - 11th August 2017, 09:17 PM

Hi I'm new to the site, so I apologise if this has been brought up before! I have a mini Cabriolet (R52)the radio/cd have all of a sudden stopped working, well the head unit seems to be doing everything okay except there is no sound, it's a HK unit, I think it's the amplifier, any ideas how to check and what is the best way to replace it?

It's a common problem with the HK amp, check to see there is power going into it (more info in the link below). If that is ok, it's a replacement amp I'm afraid.

Help fitting after market stereo

Thank you, one quick other question, is there a separate fuse on the supply to the amplifier, and where would I find it, hopefully it will just be that, fingers crossed,

Click on the link below, although showing a later MINI it provided a step by step removal of the amp and the location of the fuse. Really hope you get it all sorted.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look in the week, if the amp is knackered I think I'll have to take it in to an audio place and see about an after market stereo
