I'm new
Having a good dig around forum gaining lost of info.
Wanted a mini for ever.
Hoping to buy next year a Cooper S !
Will be looking for leather with pan roof and air con.
To be run as a second car weekends and days off fun.
Just don't know wether to go for 1st gen supercharged or 2nd gen turbo?
Any thoughts pointers?

Welcome to tM. Best to go for the 1st gen, the 2nd gen engines are troublesome.

Thanks
Thought provoking point (not surprised as 2nd gen engines are PSA )
I do prefer the supercharged whine over the turbo any way
Heard reports the 1st gen engines are coarse and not refined ?
Also that the later 1st gen models are better 2004 onwards ?

A decent first gen can look amazing if you look after it and some are turning into modern classics (the really early ones)

Pan roofs are hard to come buy in my experience they are not that common
