MINI Icon Hot Choc Clubman Belated hello from the sunny south - 8th July 2018, 04:13 PM

So I finally plucked up the courage, to add my first post, not sure how this all works but here goes,
Bought this beauty from a car lot last year, and is my first foray into Mini's (i had avoided them before ) had a fiat 500 before, which was ok for around town but dreadful on long runs.
And I think like a lot of others here I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed I didn't go to a mini sooner, its a Clubman CS, totally stock(apart from changing the run flats for recent MOT), but its such a grin-inducing beast, the sound you get from it, the sharpness of it, reminds my partner of his 1st car(actual Leyland mini clubman (the square front one)) , and it's my first car that pops too, wow. I love it

Thanks Guys,

I love it, my perfect car now, fast, practical and good looking.

It's lovely to drive, like its on rails still, and so much less harsh ride without RFs.

My OH just put a pipercross filter in which, and a new dipstick, as I now know these cars like to drink the oil ans the stock dipstick is rubbish, which brings me to my first question....., is there anyway to lower the oil consumption? As i've just had a load of work done at my local dealer, including thermostat housing replacement, oil cooler & gasket replacement, turbo oil hose replacement and some other stuff, that cost a small fortune, so need to lower any extra costs i can, any help appreciated.

Hello, lovely looking car. I was looking a clubman because of my dog but somehow ended up buying a hatch which is ok as rear seats go down flat so I use it as 2 seater with back for dog.

TY,

The colour and interior (Lounge seats) were really what did it for me, + the practical rear doors.
