Default Clutch replacement - 7th January 2015, 05:51 PM

Hi dudes,
Waiting for a garage to quote me on a clutch plate replacement and fitment. Anyone got an idea of the typical cost for this job? not BMW mini garage prices though.

I knows it's transmission out. Having the rear main seal done too as it has been leaking.
Cheers
Gav

Hello, my friendly garage man says it's about a six hour job, this is obviously for someone that knows what they are doing. The price will depend on the labour rate at your garage. The parts are about 130 ish.

holy moly where are you buying your parts from???? i got a really good 3 piece clutch kit for 60, it took me around 5 hours which included renewing the front rear bushes to fit it. i have one out on my drive now and i think i have about 2.5 hours in it.

i think most garages that know the mini should be able to do it in about the same time and im thinking a price of about 300 for fitting would be good.

Most garages will probably quote about 6-8 hours for labour.

Then you have prices for parts and fluids.

Indy garages range from 35 -50 / hour.
