I will be trimming looms but not excessively. I know what will and won't cause problems so I'll making decisions around that.

Inside is being painted - in fact the entire car is being painted. I will likely be using the original door cards but slightly modified and re trimmed. Dash top and face will be going back in, as will the clocks and a bit of the centre tunnel trim but not a lot else. Everything needs modifying to fit what I'm doing.

Engine will be M45 powered but with a slight twist. Planing on building a fully balanced engine with uprated valve springs and retainers (I have a set of crower ones) and stronger rod and head bolts. Other than that the long block will be standard. Though initially I shall be fitting a totally standard unit just to get things going. Safe reliable power, less weight, excellent chassis.

LOL! I'm getting on as fast as I can. It's not kept at my house though which is the problem. It's a 25/30 minute drive away.

Funds permitting yes I will have two Minis when it's done. Really I need a new house with a garage and proper drive but ultimately I would like to get rid of the Park Lane and get a GP (mk 1 of course) for my daily. There aren't many other cars that I like that I could actually afford. Clio Cup maybe. Porsche Cayman would be nice but possibly too thirsty. Mind you, R53s can drink.

This is taking modding to the next level; it'll be really good to see the end result one day!

And indeed no plans to fit a race wheel, the JCW jobbie with the airbag is great!

Getting it back on the road will be a long way off as I really can't afford it lol. But at least it gives me time to do everything right.

Oh I'd love a JCW wheel but they are far too expensive for me sadly. I do have a cunning plan but I need to check it will work before I say anything or I'll look like a right bell ender.
