Default Sams Lightening Blue R56 Mini One - 13th June 2015, 01:26 PM

Hey guys, I'm pretty new here, but I have decided I'm gonna do a bit to my new car, and decided I wanted to document it and what better place than here!?

Some of you may have seen my previous thread in the new users feed, but I'm going to move all updates into this one! So here goes.

A month ago I took ownership of a 2008 Mini One in Electric Blue Metallic, after looking at black, white and graphite ones I hadn't really considered blue, but when I saw this one, I had to have it.

The day I picked it up

It had 54k on the clock and I have racked up another 1.5 since owning it :P

I was itching to so something and get the ball rolling so one tin of gold later and I had revamped my callipers.

Then I decided I was going to do some interior mods after seeing it done before and loving it, so I picked up some colour matched paint and done this:

I had paint left over and decided to something about the out of place mirror covers.

I had been eyeing up some wheels since I got the car, was looking bbs split rims or something similar, but when I saw the R112s I fell in love, especially in black, I was a bit worried it would look too 'stock' but it dosent, especially as they are 2" bigger, I bought them and was happy with them and they came with good tyres, but i changed them anyway, got a set of 215/45s

And I'm very happy with the look.

And after a clean this morning:

I have many more plans, some in the post already, so watch out

Joey mod is splitting the headlights and painting the insides. Not a fan of the "panda" look with the headlight rings but that's just a personal preference. Are the R112s genuine? If they are you got an absolute bargain. I'd paint the calipers silver or black though.

Ah, another person from Down, I'm in Comber myself. The wheels go well with the blue of the car. I always did l like black wheels.

Oh I see, Deezer, I thought it was de-chroming and yeah, they're genuine! And black wheels are my all time favourite also
