I had this issue on my outgoing Mini R56 MCS, it was an 08 on 23k on the clock. The clutch was really high and really hard to depress, I took it to a few dealers albeit in the same group and they all said the clutch was fine and that its a self levelling clutch and all that nonsense.

When I traded it in for my current the assessor said the clutch in on its way out.

I remember my first car... a Punto... The seller's had an RAC assessor go over the car and advised the clutch had a few hundred miles left on it. I ended up putting 3000 miles on that clutch until something decided to give and shot a hole in the side of my gearbox! Haha.

Always interesting to see the hubcaps overtake you along the M23...
