Default JCW and Cooper S/SD Production Pause - 11th March 2018, 02:38 PM

With the EUís new emissions standard.... Worldwide Harmonisation Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) - itís a mouthful! - production of all JCW and Cooper S/SD have been paused for two months but could last longer according to my supplying dealer. This only leaves unregistered stock models to choose from if you are looking to source JCW or Cooper S/SD models but the bad news will be discounts wonít be readily available as before.

Further details reported below affecting BMW models:

As dealers are coming to the end of their quarterly sales period, I’ve been receiving phone calls from a number of MINI franchised groups to persuade me to replace both the MINIs. Two of them have mentioned the production pause will last a couple of months with others mentioning a longer period which may result in some models not returning such as the SD version of the Countryman to follow what’s happened to the rest of the range, this is bad news for me.... that was my next model to move onto.

Further info here on BMWs, current version of the M3 seizing production and they are taking the M4 off sale for a couple of months.
