MINI Icon Black can anyone help - 10th July 2018, 07:34 PM

hi everyone need some advice ive a 2001 mini cooper i bought it with a bad engine ive put in a new engine got it runnng bled the cooling systerm got hot heaters and the fan works high and low speed but im consered about the pressure in the top hose ive been in too the hiden menu that shows the water temp this was at 88c and had pressre on the top hose is this normal it seems if i leave it ticking over the fan cuts in around 105c that is as far as i no correct if im in traffic the temp will rise untill the fan kicks in or i start moveing

When I had a new water pump fitted, it took about an hour and several bleeds to get the coolant system sorted

it seems to be ok tbh it might be me being pickey lol just ran it up to temp heaters get nice and hot turn them off and soon as it hits 105c the fan kicks in every time cooling down to 96c the top and bottom hoses are under pressure but i can still squeze them in there not rock solid
