I placed an order for a mini one at the very beginning of June was given an estimated delivery date of 01/08/2014 ......get an email today to tell me that my car is STILL at the "scheduled" stage and won't be with me until October. I am pretty livid at this info, think a 17 week lead time is ridiculous! Whats to say the date won't get pushed back even more?! My mum is supposed to be going into my car in September as she has sold her current car meaning that she is now going to be left without a car! Definitely wanting some sort of compensation for this. Grrrrrrr

^^^^ let Mini know this and ask for a loan car as it's over the 12 week lead time. Don't ask you don't get. When there was a delay on the Cooper D's this was being offered to waiting owners. There was some conditions attached but I'd be giving them a call.

Good to know that they have been known to give loan cars, I will definitely be pushing for that!!

Push for a loan car , I had one for 4 months , 2 years ago when the roadsters where delayed when they first came out .. I guess depends on the dealer as well .

You should definatly ask for a loan car!
I've ended up buying a different mini now which I'm still very happy with

Don't know whether I am being cynical or not but wond err r why it is the one rather than the cooper or s is so badly delayed. Could it be demand is so high that they are building the cars with the larger profit margins first. On our factory tour most cars being built seemed to be cooper 's. A friend of mine ordered a quasqai a few years ago and waited months since Nissan were making much more by shipping the cars abroad! Just a thought?

That sounds about parr for the course to me; very odd that some are being delayed by so much; has the dealer made an ordering error? ie did it not get made-i'd be nagging the dealer I think?

Always seems to be pushed back from what Ive seen... can you cancel your order and go for a different motor? Or are you not that bothered, just more frustrated...?
