I guess your not going for a Cooper SD due to price and MPG

So I would go with a good spec Cooper rather than a One

Now:F56 MINI Dooper MidnightBlack (Chili, Full White leather, Connected XL Nav, adaptive dampers, heated seats, HUD, Harmon Kardon speakers, black alloys)
Before:F56 MINI Dooper IcedChoc (Chili,VisualBoost,Leather)
Before: R56 MINI Cooper Lightning Blue (Chili, half leather)
Before :R50 MINI One Moonlight Black (Pepper)
+ 2 Audi TT MK2s in between.

You won't get an SD for that money no
And yes the MPG won't be as good as a Cooper

If you’re driving around town and doing urban mileage why do you want a diesel?

Exactly what they hate doing. Appreciate that if you are doing a lot of urban ie 20k miles or more per year then diesel becomes the cheaper option but it certainly isn’t for mileage below that.

R60 Cooper S auto, Pure red, chilli, media and light packs..SOLD

F60 Cooper S All4 auto. Thunder grey with a lot of gloss black and very little chrome. Chilli, Media, Tech, XL, LEDís, pano roof, black 19ís, black leather, black stripes, black roof, black rails (I like black)....pretty much all options ticked - already regret the ones that are missing.
