My Cooper

I thought I’d do one of these threads as most people seem to like them
I got her back in November last year and have being slowly adding bits to her as funds allow. The most disappointing thing is that I never took pictures of her at the beginning.

She is a Chilli red cooper with white roof/mirrors and the pepper pack.
So the spec is:

8 spokes
Air con
CD changer

It took a while to find her and trip to oxford but was certainly worth it

This is pretty much what she looked like bar the stripe when I first got her.

This is not her as I don’t have any pics of her but is one that I found on the internet that looks simlar.

Then the mods started

The first mod was some Cooper S side vents to replace the black and orange ones.

Next came some spot lamps to brighten up the front of her.

Then a Cooper S fuel cap.

Next it started to get expensive with a set of R90 wheels and new tyres.
While getting the R90’s I spotted a K&N Typhoon that the seller had taken off his MINI as he was selling, he didn’t know how much it was worth so I offered him £30 and got it

Then I got some Cooper S side skirts of good old eBay.

Next an aero spoiler.

She then stayed quiet for a while except for new plugs and oil which made a surprising difference to her.

I had been looking for some Cooper S bumpers for while when a brand new rear one turned up locally so that was quickly snapped up.
When buying it I was also offered a Cooper S leather steering wheel and decided it wouldn’t hurt. I wanted and 3 spoke but decided it was going to cost too much with the new airbag. I managed to break the rotary contact thing in the process of fitting it It does however feel a lot better than the old one.

Then a facelift centre console.

Next came a Boost head unit to replace the standard wave system. This was pleasantly surprising as I only fitted it to connect my IPod up but the sound quality improved a lot with a massive improvement in bass. (Thanks RKDE, Richard for this)

I don’t think I’ve left anything out someone might remind me if I have

Anyway, here's some pictures, there not very good (absolutely awful) but I'll do a proper photo shoot of her soon.

Update :D

After needing new pads and disks i decided it was worth the extra cost to upgrade the brakes, i came across a set of JCW brakes with braided lines that were too good to miss out on and got them for a good price

Hi Mikey, does that interior shot show the facelift centre console? can't see how it differs from our 2003 Cooper console. Any gotcha's with those alloys i should consider please? want to replace the 16" stars on our Coop.

Excellent pics, looking fab with mods; but not too overstated. Good job fella.
