fuel economy figures for Cooperz
What everybody getting to a tank full of petrol on a steady run in their cooperz
Also are there any general causes for poor fuel consumption? i know on some cars the MAF sensors need regular cleaning/replacement? are there any other issues that are common i.e. worn injectors etc?? |

Sounds like we have the same issue. when i first got the cooper it would do roughly 360 miles to a tank after a while of having it i fitted a k&N bolt on filter which i ran for a few months and got around 315 miles to a tank. Ive now refitted the original airbox and my consumption has gone to approx 285 to a tank (driving really careful)
When i had the the K&N filter on i used to sometimes get a slight petrol smell coming from around the area of the filter. The exhaust tip is also fairly sutty. This is making me think the MAF sensor could be dirty but just wondered what other thoughts were? |
