Dennis hasn't had a great time of it lately

An unfortunate incident with Crows at our new house led to a badly scratched driver side door, rear panel and bonnet

But for 36 a local bodyshop polished it out for me (thank god!) and unless you look really close (some of them were deeper ) then you'd never know.

I had him back after that for all of 2 weeks, and then someone drove into the back of me on the way to work one morning gutted wasn't a strong enough word at the time

He went into Elms MINI Bodyshop to be fixed and I had a courtesy car from Accident Exchange. Just over 2 weeks after the accident I got him back looking good as new first thing I did before even starting the engine was drop the roof

I then treated him to a wash polish and wax in preparation for our trip to Spain a week today

So pleased to have him back looking how he should!!

So, last week we went to Moraira, Spain in Dennis!

He did us proud! 2800 miles in all, all our luggage fitted no problem (rear seats down and a black blanket to cover everything under the wind deflector!) and he didn't miss a beat!

He did get hit by a flying mudflap on a french motorway what is it with things or people attacking him?!

Around 2000 of those miles were topless

Although I washed him when we got there to rid of bugs and brake dust, by the end of the week he was unrecognisably dusty!! To the point I actually walked past him in a carpark thinking it was a different MINI

Perfect

After much deliberation - around 12 months - finally got Dennis's original (winter) wheels done in black

Just need to get them cleaned and waxed and the proper MINI centre bits in them and get them fitted

And they are on

Really pleased, should have had them done black in the first place

Another top job by Mint Alloys in Wrest Park!
