Default DIY Installation of LED Interior Lights - 12th November 2017, 04:16 PM

Bought a set of LED interior lights on Ebay for my CM.

Found this instruction online

http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3..._Light_Kit.pdf

My kit also came with replacements for the side scuttle but I didn't install them because they were too long for the lens housing and my existing bulbs were orange.

I tried to use it instead for the boot since it was super bright but it blew up the fuse! So I ended up with a non working boot light and roof lights. The seatbelt plus the airbag warning light was also showing in the dash!

Went to Halfords and replaced fuse 16 and everything is back to normal again for now.

I purchased the proper Mini interior LED set for my R56 JCW.
They fitted a treat with no problems whatsoever.

I'm a cheapskate so I got these for 24.99 (best offer)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-MINI-...72.m2749.l2649

It should have been an uneventful installation until I experimented substituting the boot light with the scuttle light. So far, everything is working ok.
