UJ mini countryman engine issues - 7th May 2018, 05:05 PM

Dear Fellow mini users,
My countryman is a 2013 model and has developed an engine problem with emulsification as a result of moisture and oil mixing. Is this something that is expected in a BMW engine with a low mileage 15000 miles?!
The car has an unblemished service record with the dealer from whom the care was taken delivery from!
Any suggestions tips would be very much appreciated.
Thanks very much

The car may be out of warranty but if it only has 15k on it I would contact your dealer or MINI UK as engine problems at 15k is not acceptable and I know they have repaired older cars than this under "good will"

That usually happens if the car is being used for very short journeys preventing the the engine from warming up. If this isnít the case, as suggested raise with the dealer.

15000 miles in 5 years! Emulsified oil will have definitely occurred with lack of use.... I doubt you have any problem at all that an oil change and engine flush & clean won’t rectify!

How long has the car sat for prior to your ownership and when was it last serviced? It can have a perfect service history... this would happen to any car with that usage.

R60 Cooper S auto, Pure red, chilli, media and light packs..SOLD

F60 Cooper S All4 auto. Thunder grey with a lot of gloss black and very little chrome. Chilli, Media, Tech, XL, LEDís, pano roof, black 19ís, black leather, black stripes, black roof, black rails (I like black)....pretty much all options ticked - already regret the ones that are missing.
