But if they can't fix the problem this could be an option, remember 3 water pumps in a year and its happening again

Hope you get it sorted.

Sorry to hear your woes could it be another fault rather than actual water pump? Are your temps ok? Don't know if it would be enough to crack the casing but the metal expansion/contraction may weaken it.
Just a thought after so many replacements including an upgraded one!

Also you are getting coking issues after a year?????? How many miles you done?

Oh dear, I didn't expect to hear this from you, Elliot. Almost 2 years since I got rid of my 2nd generation Cooper S Convertible because of being dogged by reliability problems, I have just started to get the itch to get another one. A JCW Roadster this time (doing away with the convertible's overly complex roof), as every time I read one of your tweets saying that you've got the roof down, I get jealous! These latest problems on your car are a bit of a reality check for me.

It's just terrible to read that the water pump is failing so frequently, even after its recently announced redesign. I had to have mine replaced (before the redesign) after I noticed it squealing after a long drive through Wales. As you say, it's the embarrassment of pulling into a car park in a nearly new car and squealing your way to a free space - especially when the roof is down. My replacement pump appeared to fix the problem, but I remember being annoyed that a part that had been in production so long could fail like this - my car had only done about 8,000 miles when this problem occurred.

Hope you get your problems fixed - at least you've got he piece of mind of the warranty, although, that doesn't really make up for having to leave the car with the dealer every 5 minutes. I left mine with Sytner Oldbury so many times, I began to think they must hate me.

Sorry to hear the problems you are having with your Roadster- great looking Mini so hopefully they can resolve the issue ASAP! I have had mines in for thermostat issues and still not resolved, hoping after it spends next week there it will be fully fixed. I mean you'd think after all the money you pay they would give you the service you deserve... my local dealer stresses how much they want to help but when they have my Mini it never seems that way.. touch annoying

Sorry to hear about your JCW Elliot. Mine's just come back from a decoke as well - 2 years old and about 14k on the clock.

Mine's an N14 as it's a JCW.
