After a bit of reading, going to also try for the ODB socket supply (5A on F27) as some BWM owners have noted that as being truly permanently live (mostly as a result of having left an ODB dongle plugged in for a week and coming back to a flat battery).

I love these piggyback fuse taps - makes wibbling around dead easy!

The ODB fuse! 5A and marked "ODB" on the fuse door. Seems to be fairly permanent. Good after 5 hours. Will see if it's still running tomorrow.

As the bloke had used a normal sized "AddACircuit" piggyback for the "perm live" (aactually to the radio fuse) and a mini blade piggyback to the hazard lights for the "ACC+" circuit, I had to swap the tails around.

For this, the new Wago lever connectors are damn excellent.

They take the thick piggyback wire and the weedly PowerMagicPro wire beautifully. Wrap of tape around them and the wire to hold it all stable and job jobbed!

Nothing blew up when I pulled the fuses so thanks for that guys!

Now the ACC+ is hanging off the radio, it's not quite perfect. That stays live for 30 mins after shutting the car. I'll have a play on Sunday and see if I can find a true "ACC+" type fuse that goes on and off cleanly with the ignition. Not very critical but I like to be neat.

The radio circuit is weird - it'll come on even just open an unlocked door. Which sort of makes sense. In a weird BMW way.

Now next time some Uncle ****a bangs my car and sods off, I'll have him on video...

Cheers,

Tim
