Ballsy, I would almost certainly be taking my MCS to the scrap yard if I did that! Did you hit any snags?

good work aussie.

i remember replacing the clutch on my 106. once we got the gearbox off, i decided to replace a stud holding the clutch arm on the gearbox as it was wobbly... upon attempting to release it with a hammer, i ended up cracking the gearbox housing... so i had to buy another dead box, rip it's innards out, and rebuild my gearbox into it (which i did in the boot)... all because the ratio's on my box were different (i had a Rallye, replacement housing was from an XSI). i'd have been screwed if the housings were unique to the Rallye as they are rare as rocking horse poo !

by this time i hadn't even gotten the clutch in !

oh, and i do head gasket replacements in my sleep :| i've done enough of them that i dont want to do any more.
