Default Mirror adjusting switch - 30th September 2016, 05:35 PM

Hi, it appears that the above in my daughters mini one r56 is shot. I have ordered a replacement, and I was wondering how you would go about taking the old one out and replacing it with the new item?
I have done a search, but this doesn't appear to bring any results back, unless I'm missing something!

Thanks

From what I remember when changing the door pulls, you just need to pry off the speaker cover. Be warned, it was a right fuss to get back into place because the cables were so short. Good luck!!

Well getting the switch out was actually a doddle, it simply pops out if you use a flat bladed screw driver, that's the god news..... the bad news is that it isn't the switch as I fitted the new one and still nowt!!
Does anyone out there know if I'm missing something?.... there appears to be 2 fuses in the footwell fuse box which relate to the mirrors..F22 and F34, both of which are rated at 7.5 Amp.
Both are in tact, however I tested if there was any juice going to them, F22 has a feed, however F34 does not!
I can only assume that this is not right, and there is an issue with the wiring prior to it reaching the fuse box, but I have never heard of anything like this before.....
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Dave
