Default Bluetooth/iPhone Help... - 13th February 2017, 08:26 AM

Around 3 weeks ago, my mini decided it was unable to show me the recent received and recent dialed numbers. For the 7/8 weeks before that since i have owned the car, everything had worked fine.

All other features work fine.

Since the problem, i have downgraded the car software and reinstalled to the lastest i have found on their website. I have also installed the latest software on my phone - 10.2.1 [iPhone 6].

When the problem started [function stopped working] i didnt make any changes to software in the car or on the phone - not knowingly anyway.

On 1 journey since the problem started, i briefly had access to my recent dialed list, but didn't last long.

I have been to my local Mini dealer, and they want 75 for first hour and 150 for every hour after to look at it... I know it will cost a fortune and i will get nowhere with them - as they will probably just say its a phone problem!

I don't know if its a car fault or a phone problem...
Anyone any ideas or had this problem?!

Help please - it's driving me nuts!

So if you have the latest software, delete all the saved profiles in the mini, delete all your bluetooth profiles on the iPhone.

then pair the phone afresh.... all should be good.

I would do a hard reset. Take the negative off the battery for at least 2 hours. Better overnight if you can. You'll lose your stations etc but worth try.

I would also hard reset the iPhone. Press and hold the power button (the power off slide appears) KEEP holding the power through this until the apple logo is on the screen (takes around 5 -10 seconds after the power slide appears.) This hard resets and clears all cache and often a lot of errors on iPhone. No data or content will be lost so perhaps try this first.

I would also try pairing another phone or someone else's in your family to the car and see if the issue remains with their phone. It is possible there is a fault with the iPhone.

Good luck.

I've been meaning to try someone else's phone, but haven't had chance/remembered when someone has been round.

I'll try the hard reset as well with the car/phone.

Thanks,

Thanks for assistance guys, but nothing has worked
I've check my phone in another car and it works fine - BMW
I disconnected the battery last night and it's been totally disconnected for 12 hours. It only lost the time, remembered all my stations and settings though....

Any ideas? No recent call logs or dialled numbers

Thanks, Ben
