had them 20 yrs ago!

the ring wont come with the correct bracket, there are some kits from bolt-on-bits about 40 i think, comes with the right bracket, which rivets into the bonnet.

i had thought about fitting some again as i like night hooning and could do with a bit more light, i would defo get the correct bracket, the spots wont wobble and shake quite as much.

wasnt saying dont do it, just my opinion. spots that flicker with every bump do my nut in and the ring ones would need to bolt thru the bumper somehow. as the bumper is just a skin they would wobble about a fair bit.
if you get the proper brackets they are riveted to the bonnet in 3 different places making them more sturdy.
from memory ring lamps are not that good, rally giant give off good light but are a bit huge for a mini, but the quality wasnt there, the wipac look like the best bet, cheaper ones will probably be off within a year cos of rust or crappy lenses/reflectors.

rubber mats are good, the ones i have dont move at all, whereas the carpet ones always moved forwards (both are genuine mini parts) and the rubber clean with a damp cloth in a minute, been very happy with those.
you will get some good ideas at a meet anyway, when you see all those cars far better than ours!

I'm dredding going to the mega meet I'll be a kid in a candy store must remember to leave the credit cards at home lol,I'm planning to keep the mods/styling to the basics but when I see those stalls I'll be tempted lol think it would be crazy spending loads of money on a mini one I'll wait to see if I'd be tempted to a cooper s one day never been in a mini before a few weeks ago

collect a few styling goodies on the one and then if a supercharged comes along one day swap the bits over, i think thats my plan, get a late supercharged convertible and put my bits on it.

Is had quite a few convertibles and to be honest I'll not get another for the 2-3 times a year it's down there not worth the premium selling price and insurance increases I compromised with this mini because of the panoramic sunroof
