Removing Mid Box of exhaust

I'm thinking of removing the middle section of my exhaust for a straight through pipe, much like the challenge system.

Can anyone see any problems such as warning light on the dash etc?

(as far as I know there is no sensor in the mid box)

personally i would'nt as i think the resonator will make a huge difference to BOOM in the car when driving on the motroway etc.

However

I am going to say, yes remove it, because if it sounds good on yours then i'll do the same....lol But in car noise may be too much

Thanks for the input.

I'm going to make sure that the "operation" can be reversed if there are any negative effects.

I just hope that most of the noise comes out of the back.

Well me and a lot of others have the PlayMini cat back system, with a straight through mid section, which is purely a pipe, so removes the front muffler. I can't really tell a difference in the car. You can hear the back box making a lovely burble, but nothing more.

Why not change the back box while your at it??!

The car does become raspy sounding rather than boomy.

As sensors go you will have no problems what so ever, the last sensor is just after the cat so your fine there. I will also be removing mine one day when I have some spare time (mines a R53 though) - you can do it with straight section.
