not really tempted by any of these, more looking for peoples thoughts and opinions, has anyone ever fitted such products and actually achieved anything? Have heard numerous horror stories of them ballsing up fuel systems and causing cars to run lean etc..

Yeah I know, pay peanuts.. Just interested in hearing peoples experiences with them, as far as I can tell they're just a simple resistor that cons the ecu into thinking ambient temp. is lower than it actually is?

There was one for sale for the Vectra 150cdti a few years back , 100 notes and increased them to 200+ bhp . They sold like hot cakes and beat most of the tuners / expensive boxes on the rollers . I guess that was the exception though ! They increase fuel pressure as well ...

Yeah I think by reducing air temp reading it just causes the engine to dump more fuel into the cylinders.. Would certainly prefer to be going down the route of a dedicated remap anyway myself!

If you have a gen 1 ONE, by a BLUEFIN. They are tried and tested

I was thinking of Mighty Car Mods too. I'd get a Superchips Bluefin because its easiest. But a proper remap would be better.

DTUK supply the best derv ones.
My old Astra 150CDTi was on the middle setting and banging out almost 190Bhp and 57Mpg. There were higher settings but they basically caused the emissions light to come on.
