Default Another tyre fitment thread - 24th July 2015, 03:50 PM

So I just bought some JCW 18" wheels to replace my 17" cross spokes, and I need to order the tyres.. I just want to make absolutely sure my preference is going to fit my Roadster with no issues, which is 215/40/18.. OR should I go for a 35 profile as the wheel is bigger in diameter? Although saying that, I think the 17's had a 45 profile on them anyway.. I have done loads of searching, but nothing came back specific to the roadster, if it makes any difference anyway!

And because everyone loves pictures, here's what my car will look like this time next week (although it's a coup, close enough)!

You can run a 215/45/17 without problems with stock ride height and a 215/40/18 is near as damn it the same rolling circumstance, just about 12mm more, which is about 0.5%. So I imagine it would fit fine. Speedo will probably be more accurate if anything!

The OP is asking about 18" wheels.

There should be no problems running 215/40-18 on OEM wheels and stock suspension.
