Well aqua wax is a water based wax, and i do the whole car every time i wash it, because i apply to the whole car and buff off, im drying it as well as rubbing in wax.. then polish and then proper wax.

if it was my money, i too choose Gtecniq stuff, watch the videos on you tube about the glass treatment its very special.

if budget doesnt allow, give rain x another go. its cheap and will do the job

Talking about G-Techniq has reminded me how good the stuff is! Ordered some of the wheel armour. If you get the G5 from G-Techniq let us know if it's any better! I'd imagine so.

the G5 is the "Budget" repellent HERE

The G1 is the more extreme end of the scale and is supposed to last 1-2 years. It's not badly priced for the quality but at 11 for just 15ml you'd better hope you do it right! HERE

Did you clean the windscreen before applying Rain x?Could be residue from whatever was used to clean your car.Get a good glass cleaner/ Bar Keepers Friend or clay bar to use on windscreen.Clean wipers then Rain x.Trouble with someone else cleaning your car is you have no idea what product they are using and at what dilution.
