Default Seat cleaning - 26th October 2017, 07:32 AM

Morning all, my Ď52 Cooper needs its seat bases cleaning, not filthy, but can see marks and stains. Some of it almost looks like the pattern 😂

Any recommendations before I start? Theyíre a red cloth/black leather seat.

Local car cleaning place want £40 to do them, but Iíd rather do them myself and get the reward of it.

Welcome to tM. My preference is to use either the Autoglym or Meguiar products but equally the Vanish household carpet range (use the Vanish foam type) will deliver good results to remove the stains.

Thatís ok, hereís the Vanish foam. Itís very powerful stuff and it wonít harm the leather.

Just seen the pic of your MINI on your other thread and hope you sort the issues quickly and begin to enjoy it. Nice to see folks keeping the 1st gens on the road.

Seats have had a scrub and clean, just waiting to see what it looks like 👍

But stripped out the centre console and vinyl wrapped the battered silver trims and door handles, plus found a Milltek exhaust under the soot too!IMG_6851.JPGIMG_6915.JPGIMG_6895.JPGIMG_6899.JPGIMG_6863.JPG

You can get the original ones that were fitted to the car in 'chrome'.
They certainly look better than the ones you have fitted.
Think I've seen some on ebay for around £25 for the pair.

Thanks Iíll have another look.

Only found the black grilles so far. Replaced the repeaters this morning as one was badly clouded and the other practically selotaped in place.

Canít complain for £700 though!

Is that a Milltek exhaust fitted?
I had one on my R50, great exhausts.
