Hi guys, I am back (sort of, but not as often as before). Some of you I have met at MINI United at Silverstone in 2009. I went to see my mate KP (above) and to meet new MINI friends and it was great. For a couple of years ago I was the chairman of New MINI Club Sweden (NMCS) and reallly enjoyed life as a MINI owner.
About a year ago I started to get a bit tired of it. I sold my beloved Laser Blue R56 S 2007 in march this year and traded it in for a BMW 120 d M-sport MY 2008. After six months I understood that a life without MINI is no life so I decided to sell the (boring) Beemer and look for a MINI again.
I received some offers from various MINI dealers around Sweden (R56 S MY 2013), but I felt I wanted it to be a bit bigger (due to the fact that my two sons is growing) but not as big as the Countryman.
The solution came from MINI Stockholm - an Eclipse Grey/Black Clubman S 2012 with 6000 km on the clock, fitted with Infinite Stream Spoke, Navigation system, Chili, rear S-wing, tinted rear windows, Connected and many other things.
So, as stated earlier - I am back, and I'm home - wohoo!

At the mo I am not so involved in NMCS, but hopefully a new gang of Swedish MINIacs will work with the club in order to get it more up to speed. It takes a lot of time and some effort to make a club runnning, but I think these guys have got what it takes.

Hi Freddie! You could come and join Mini Club Flying Finns ... we had a nice trackday at the BotniaRing, the longest and newest track in Finland at 4.1km, and since it's open to both Minis and MINIs, I'm sure it's also open to a Swede!

Cheers Ian and Tim, it feels like home when opening the door to my new Clubbie, starting it up and go for a spin.
Ian, a bit yealous of the lovely seats in your Eclipse Grey JCW - they look fab mate, excellent choise!
Tim, thanks for the tip mate, good to know if I happen to be in the neighbourhood. How many members/participants in Mini Club Flying Finns are there?
Why do not start a separate thread about it in this section of tM, good to see the spread of MINI/Mini clubs all over the world.

Thanks Fredrik, I'm so glad I specced the Toffee, everybody seems to love it!

You chose the best colour too

Yup, Toffee interior looks fab.
Eclipse Grey is a very nice colour too, makes the plastic wheel arches become more integrated in the car in a way I think.

As soon as there are any news on NMCS I (or maybe an NMCS colleague) will report it in this thread.

Speculations about the location of next MINI United has been up on the agenda. Norway was mentioned, but a bit of question mark about what year. 2014 to soon perhaps since MINI moved from bi-annual to three year cycle at Le Castellet. 2015 more likely perhaps?

Norway would be cool. Not too far from here... I'd better leave it on the rain tyres though.
