Icon14 Special offer - A pillar tweeter kits for 2nd gen - 9th July 2013, 09:57 PM

We currently have an offer on the A pillar tweeter kits - NewMINIStuff.com
The kit consists of a pair of genuine MINI with Clarion tweeters pre fitted along with a plug & play loom. The whole kit should take you under 1 hour to fit & will make a great improvement to the sound with more detail & a better sound stage.
From 122 (+ vat where applicable)

Think they may be more expensive as the pillar is wider

I'd love this for my R56 S but sadly not at the moment.

The roadster is listed in the link - they are more expensive (but on offer at the moment) The most expensive are the cabriolet (R57)

Do these replace the speakers in the top part of the doors or fit in as extra speakers? And what does this channel swap mod do and is it worth it ( I have factory fitted Bluetooth hands free kit with the cradle in the armrest) cheers

No, you leave your existing speakers as they are. This is a pair of replacement A pillar trims that MINI use when the car has the hifi upgrade. We fit tweeters into them & provide a plug & play loom so they are easy to fit. The things in the upper position in the doors can no way be called tweeters - they are muddy at best & firing at your thighs doesnt help either.
The channel swap swaps the front & rear channels giving a significant increase in bass on pre LCI cars
