As most of you will know - wing mirror theft is a growing problem. The mirrors can be removed in under a minute.
To reduce the chances of theft we have 2 security bolt sets - the idea being a security bit is needed to remove them.
We have 2 versions
1. Security bit & 4 security bolts
2. 2 different security bits & 2 of each type of bolts - you put 1 of each type on each mirror

Option 2 is fitted on both of our MINI's, simple thing to do for better peace of mind and to hopefully stop my mirrors being stolen again when they cost £1800 to replace

Everyone should do this before they have the hassle of having theirs stolen!!

Sorry guys. Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. They came in a pack of 10. I used 4 and have 6 left over & the screwdriver bit. I am going to send the remaining bolts to the guy who 1st responded to my post (Slinnkey).

Is it just a matter of unscrewing and putting new ones in. You don't need to remove door cards etc. Thanks

Yes - simply, fold back mirror to expose bolts remove old bolts with Allen key and put new ones in with the security bits that Mikey supplies free with the bolts

The original mirror bolt is on the right. It's worth saying that the mirrors fold both ways. So to get to both screws, just grab the mirror in both hands and turn in either direction. This goes for power fold mirrors too (I have these).
