Moleys Astons Richards Motoring Activity Adventure 2010

Right then guys, after months of mulling of a route and hearing various jibes from the original MAAMAA crew, the route has been devised for MARMAA 2010. This event has the ability to whitewash MAAMAA in both driving roads, scenery, drinks and Moley getting his groove on with another 95 year old

Main base camp is to be Llandudno which boasts a lively nightlife, plenty of accomodation and of course the required fish and chip shop to smuggle some chips into adjoining bars. I have circled 'The Ambassador Hotel' or 'The Waverly Hotel" as the main hotels/B+B's too look out for purely by their parking and seaside locations

I will phone next year to get a special rate as hopefully there will be a few of us coming along and its out of season

This year we will be starting on the Friday but if you cant make the Friday you are more than welcome to join the group on the Saturday at the hotel

Day 1 - Friday 26th March

A local meet in a 'lovely' town called Ammanford, Carmarthenshire around the back of Tescos where we will be the start of the tour which then lead us onto the Black Mountains, up to Elan Valley and finally at our destination of Llandudno.

The route does seem a long one but it certainly will be fun and get us in the mood for Saturdays main adventure. The route and map is shown below:

Day 2 - Saturday 27th March

The main day in my eyes where we will be tackling several roads that North Wales has to offer. These will include the Evo Triangle, Pass of Llanberis and a few cheeky roads thrown in.

The route will take a few hours to do but there will be many stops on the way to take in the scenery, have a beer/spot to eat etc.

The day will be ended in Llandudno where a good old booze will be the main order of the day. Perhaps some other entertainment thrown in. Again, the route is below along with some pictures

UPDATE - Friday 12th March

Right guys and gals, 2 weeks today and we will be conquering MARMAA 2010

The hotel has been booked last week or so which is great, stickers will be ordered next week so Ill be sending everyone a PM about paying details (for those who want them)

The meeting place has drawn some confussion about where it is etc. Its simply a delivery road for Tesco in Ammanford. The postcode and co-ordinates are shown below:

Friday night entertainment is still being formulated as my internet searches havent come back with a definitive answer where pub quizzes are held and if there any in the first place! So will be asking the hotel when we arrive and we can make plans from there

WHAT TO BRING ALONG

• Waterproofs - Weather is famously known to change every minute in North Wales so dont get caught out
• Walkie Talkies - A MUST! Great for banter and to warn if people are lost or getting left behind, so if you havent got one, get one asap!

UPDATE - Can everyone please make sure that everything on their car is street legal. We dont want people getting pulled for the smallest things as there maybe be bobs out on the Saturday. Make sure that tyres + lights are in safe working order.

What sort of dates are we looking at? I'm not really fussed about Jan/Feb as there may well be ice on the road and that means certain death!
