The Proxes are naff in the wet.
F1s are good, though next time I'm going for Michelin Pilot Sports - they're becoming quite popular.

If I keep doing all the little bits I want to do straight away I'll never get the car finished....

Hi

They way you've written that last post makes it look like you're going to fit the JCW injectors without a tune? If indeed that is what you mean, don't. The fuel scaling will be wrong and it will over...

Karl's Ultra-slow Project - Trackday Toy

If I had the money I'd be doing it very differently. Would have had it acid dipped instead for a start. Wizzing bits off with a wire knot wheel on an angle grinder isn't fun.

GP is ok - I've only...

Thanks! It's taken absolutely forever to get this far. Shameful really.
Having the GP to play with has made this project feel a little less urgent.

I've g lots of bits built up ready to bolt on...

G1.21 Karl's Ultra-slow Project - Trackday Toy

I'll start where I left off before Photobucket killed the Internet.

So - I had a car that worked, but kinda didn't work sometimes, but would have been quite easy to fix so that it did work...

speed limit display???

If you take a moment to cast your eyes from your dash and look out of the windscreen, on occasion you will see these weird lollipop type things at the side of the road - usually with either a red...

2023 All change....

Nowhere does it say that the Cooper name will be replaced. I read it as the current hatches will remain, and there will be an additional smaller car added to the line-up that will be called the...

Mini r50 tuning

The power from a superchips blufin flash is not going to cause any bother with the gearbox.

Other than the blufin, get a Janspeed exhaust mani and a decent cat back - im a massive fan of the...

Engine bay struts

The only people who have ever claimed they make a difference have bought expensive ones... take from that what you will.

You're better off replacing ball joints and upgrading bushes.

Then...

If you're feeling brave I have a wiring diagram...

What is included in the retrofit kit? Do you have a link to it or anything?

What is this part?

If it's just a plastic one pushed onto a "threaded" stud then it's a connection block. If it's corroded make a not of what's connected to what inside it, chop it off and crimp the relevant wires...

N18 MCS custom front strut brace/JCW springs/polybush front wishbobes/Eibach ARB's

If you're happy with the springs you are running that's great. I ran H&R springs on JCW dampers on an R50 road car with a bigger rear bar and all the bushes done and it did ride quite well, certainly...

N18 MCS custom front strut brace/JCW springs/polybush front wishbobes/Eibach ARB's

Add those together youre getting towards the price of decent coilovers, which actually will improve your handing.

Your response will...

Worth noting that the ST XA and XTA coils are not just "made by" KW, they are the EXACT same dampers as in the V2.

The difference is, the KW comes with their corrosion resistant Inox coating and...
